Trunkshow LA Grand Opening Party

Last week we had the great pleasure of creating the dessert table and candy bar for the grand opening bash for the Santa Monica discount designer boutique, Trunkshow LA. The theme was 80s glam and the colors were black and white. We had the best time playing with the flashiness of the event. I mean, black lace and little white present petit fours with black frosting ribbon - what could be more fun??

Here are a bunch of pics from the event.....

got chocolate milk?

*Images courtesy of Chris Polk/Getty Images for MilkPEP

A couple of weeks ago we had the privilege of designing a dessert table, along with a milkshake station and treats for trick-or-treating, for the unveiling of the new milk mustache celebrity for the "got milk?" campaign, Angie Harmon! Weber Shandwick produced this amazing Halloween event which was held on a NYC street set at Paramount Studios. Not only did the kids get to go trick or treating at the pretend houses, but they also enjoyed face painting, games and a milkshake mustache station.

The monster, eyeball and jack-o-lantern brownie pops were a favorite among the trick-or-treaters. And we used low fat chocolate milk to make a healthy "slime dunker" peanut butter and chocolate pudding that we served in spooky ceramic cat and pumpkin mugs. To keep with the healthy theme, the kids dipped low fat pretzel rods and apple and banana skewers in the pudding. Delicious!

Unfortunately, we didn't get a picture of the treats for trick-or-treating, but they were to die for! Flour Pot Cookies screen printed got milk's Halloween logo on buttery milk bottle shaped sugar cookies and hand-piped the got milk? logo on round sugar cookies.

The event was a huge success! The kids had a blast and Angie Harmon taught them a thing or two about the healthy benefits of milk.

2009 Teen Choice Awards

We were thrilled to be hired by YourBASH! to create the dessert table for the 2009 Fox Teen Choice Awards VIP tent! They wanted a fun, colorful table to keep with the tone of the event. The logo (and the award) for the Teen Choice Awards was a surfboard and the main colors were bright orange and lime green so we made surfboard shaped sugar cookies frosted with royal icing and decorated with orange and lime green piping.
Our brownie pops - splattered with orange and lime green candy coating - were the hit of the evening. Not only did the teens love them, but the adults kept coming back for more too! Another favorite were the bite sized strawberry shortcakes with fresh whipped cream. They were the perfect size to just pop in your mouth.
As you can see from the photos, YourBash! did an amazing job with the decor...especially the ceiling which popped with bright blue, orange, green, yellow and magenta lanterns!
